Hi, and welcome to Take The Plastic Pledge – if you are reading this then THANK YOU for taking time out of your busy life and caring about our Earth and especially our oceans.
Did you know…
- One million marine animals are killed by plastic each YEAR?
- Seabirds, whales and more have bellies FULL of plastic?
- There will be more fish in the ocean than plastic by the year 2050?
- There are five floating plastic garbage patches in our oceans right now?
- The largest of the five floating garbage patches is the size of TWO Texas states AND has plastic waste weighing as much as 500 jumbo jets?
- We only have one chance to take care of our Earth?
- You can make a BIG difference by swapping plastic products with smart alternatives?
This problem is not going to go away and it will only get worse. Not sure about you, but as a mom I don’t want my kids to be scuba diving for plastic instead of fish when they grow up.
